Pilates Community Forum > International Qualifications

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone can advise as to whether or not there is a best type of internatinally recognised qualification. I know studios often claim that they provide internationally recognised teacher training. I'm curious though, is there a recognised body that it's best to have your qualification with? Are some qualifications better than others? For example could I do an "internationally recognised course" and then find if I moved to a different country that all of a sudden by qualification isn't really regarded as a very well recognised one and I'd therefore stuggle to get a teaching position.
Apologies if this query is a little confusing, I'm not sure of the best way to ask the question.

You might want to check ACE website. They offer various training options and a lot of them are recognized world-wide.
A lot of the employees don't only consider your qualification but also your experience, CPR certificate and liability insurance. If you are interested in a specific country, you can just do a research and inquire whether your certificate is recognized there or not. Every country has its own regulations in regard of what exact qualification a fitness teacher should have.
Anyway, good luck. I hope you get more clear answers here.
